What we are allowed to do with each dataset

This site draws on property sources, government registers and two bounded relocation-context feeds. This is the position dataset by dataset, including the ones where the honest answer is that nobody has established it yet.

Malta planning applications Re-checked 23 Aug 2026. The robots.txt allows general crawlers (`User-agent: * Allow: /`) and disallows a named list of AI crawlers, so the earlier note that it "disallows us" was too broad — the block is on AI agents, not on this site. It does expressly reserve AI-training rights and signal reference use only, which we honour. But no reuse licence has been published and Malta’s national open-data portal answers 403 to us, and the terms of reuse are unestablished. These 5,731 applications are published on this site today — at /malta/planning, searchable by address, and linked from Malta property pages. An earlier note in our own records described them as frozen and unused; that was wrong, and this row is the correction. Cleared, and what stage each is at

Terms are recorded before data is consumed, so the conditions bind from the moment something lands rather than being retrofitted afterwards. Most of these publish no transaction prices at all — they are address, parcel and building registers. They will be shown as what they are; there will be no sold-price page for a country that does not publish sold prices. Acquisition is handled elsewhere; this site builds against whatever is in the store.

These are not hidden inputs. They are unavailable to the approved importer path and do not contribute any score, filter or claim.

Why a question mark is not a tick

A register being public is not the same as a licence to reuse it, and attributing a source is not the same as having permission from it. Where a government has published terms we follow them and say so; where it has not, we say that instead of guessing. None of this is legal advice, and a question mark here means the question is genuinely open — not that the answer is probably fine.

Pages that mix jurisdictions

Anything comparing islands — property markets, the budget search, relocation evidence, and the cross-island passages on each living page — is a derivative work drawing on several of the sources above at once. The most restrictive term in the set governs the whole page, so those pages are limited by the strictest licence they touch, not the most generous.
