What it is trying to be
Not another listings directory. The listings are the raw material; the point is what can be said around them — what the address last sold for, what has been applied for on it, how the asking price has moved, which agents are marketing it and at what prices, and how the island compares with the one next door.
What it is not
- It is not an agent. We take no commission, we do not list property, and we do not sit between you and the seller.
- It does not carry aggregator data. Portals that republish other agents' stock are excluded by name, so what you see traces back to an agent's own site.
- It does not give legal, tax or investment advice. Where a rule applies — who may buy on which market, what duty is payable — we link to the island's own government pages instead of paraphrasing them.
Who runs it
It is run from Guernsey by a small independent team. Corrections, complaints and takedown requests go to corrections@aplacecalledyours.com and are read by a person.
